Santa Monica 5000: iRUN for iEmpathize
On October 6th, 2013, Southern California will come together to raise thousands of dollars in one day for the protection and restoration of vulnerable children. While called the Santa Monica 5000, this race also includes a 10k and a 3k Dash and Family Walk, and a FREE Tot Trot for children 7 and under.
Our hope is to see people across Southern California help us help kids by running (or walking!) the Santa Monica 5000, and raising significant funds for our Southern CA/Tijuana Launch Campaign. Together we can raise awareness and funds, while having a great time participating in the Santa Monica 5000 race! Be a team captain and create a team, join a pre-existing team or run as an individual participant. Help us engage businesses, faith communities, and the public. Help us help kids and have fun while you’re at it.
The race begins just south of the intersection of Barnard Way and Ocean Blvd. and finishes at the Santa Monica Pier (The Tot Trot begins and ends at the Pier). The 5k begins at 8:00am, the 10k begins at 8:30am, the 3k begins at 8:45am, and the Tot Trot begins at 9:45am. The race registration fee is $35 for adults and $20 for kids (18 and under) and for the 3k until September 8. The registration fee increases to $40 ($25 for kids and the 3k) on September 9-October 2. After October 2, the fee will be $45 ($30 for kids and the 3k). The Tot Trot is free. Online registration is only available until October 4. Visit https://www.imathlete.com/
