You are cordially invited to participate in a forum titled Rise Up Against Child Sex Trafficking: An Action Plan for the Faith Community at the 23rd annual Empowerment Congress Summit on January 17th at the University of Southern California.

This year’s keynote speaker at the summit will be Professor Cornel West. Following the key note address, there will be breakout sessions to discuss the most pertinent issues occurring in our community. The forum on sex trafficking is designed to educate and empower those in the faith community who want to do something about the issue of sex trafficking in our communities.

The Department of Justice estimates that approximately 300,000 children are at risk of being trafficked in the United States. What used to be called prostitution, has turned into a multibillion dollar industry increasingly run by gangs and fueled by adults seeking younger boys and girls to buy for sex. At the conclusion of the forum, participants will emerge with an action plan to combat child sex trafficking.

We hope that you can join us for this momentous occasion. To register please click here :http://empowermentcongress.org/ecsummit23/register/
