Why walk?
To unite LA-based agencies to walk in unity on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day (January 11) and engage the public with the realities of human trafficking, educate them on how to identify and report the crime, distribute national and local hotlines, and provide opportunities for the public to engage in combating human trafficking with various LA-based agencies.
Hosted by Slavery No More, CARE 18, Forever Found, Freedom and Fashion, iEmpathize, Oasis USA, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and ReAwaken Hope
Can’t make it?
Join Walk 4 Freedom on Saturday, January 10 at 9:00 am. Meet at St. Basil’s Church (3611 Wilshire Blvd at Kingsley Dr) and walk two miles through Koreatown, a neighborhood where known cases of human trafficking have surfaced. Bring a bottle of water and carry a sign to raise awareness of modern slavery. No registration or fee required.
Walk 4 Freedom is hosted by the Southern California Partners for Global Justice, Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking and the LA Metro Task Force.
