May 14 – ICAN/DA Sponsored One-Day CSEC Training

ICAN and the District Attorney’s Office are pleased to announce that we are sponsoring a one-day free training on CSEC:  A Collaborative Approach to Human Trafficking.  The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the MTA Building from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.  The below link will provide you with all of the information you need for this seminar and will also allow you to register for the training.  The training is open to the first 200 people who sign-up; others will be put on a wait list in the event that spots open up.  Please note that attendees will have to pay for parking and either bring a lunch or buy one near-by the training venue (there are a number of places to eat near the training site).

This all-day free training has a very full agenda and participants will be able to learn from key experts about the current response to human trafficking victims and available resources for these victims.  Speakers will also discuss how we can best move forward in our efforts to prevent human trafficking and provide appropriate services.  Morning greetings will be provided by District Attorney Jackie Lacey, Sheriff Jim McDonald and ICAN Executive Director, Deanne Tilton.
